For those looking for an extra boost, our Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care offers a range of specialised knowledge and practises that will enhance your skills and ensure you’re prepared to be a successful educator in the Children’s Education and Care Services industry. Some of the skills you will learn include the development of the children’s social, cognitive, physical and emotional abilities.

Eligibility Criteria

Finding out if you’re eligible for our fully subsidised JobTrainer courses is an easy process.

  • If you are aged 17 to 24 and are not a current apprentice, then you are eligible for the program regardless of whether you are employed or not.
  • If you are over the age of 24 and are currently receiving JobSeeker (and can provide valid proof), then you are eligible for the program.

Additionally, you must:

  • Live or work in Victoria.
  • Be an Australian citizen, permanent resident, New Zealand citizen, asylum seeker or a humanitarian visa holder.
  • Have left school.

FAQs

JobTrainer is a joint Commonwealth and State initiative aimed at providing increased access to free or low-fee training places for COVID-19-affected Victorians.

Any of the following forms of evidence are accepted:

  • A current and valid Commonwealth Health Care Card, Pensioner Concession Card or Veteran’s Gold Card.
  • A Separation certificate from your employer.
  • A letter from your employer or company receiver stating that you have been, or will be, retrenched or made redundant.

If neither of the aforementioned documents are available, then you may sign the Evidence of Eligibility and Student Declaration Form to legally declare that you are unemployed.

Yes. Both Certificate III in Early Childhood Care and Education and Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care are subsidised under the Victorian Government’s JobTrainer initiative.

For both our eligible courses, you can choose from either online remote learning or face-to-face classes on our campus.

Unfortunately, no. The time frame is mandated by the state government. The 40 available allocations only apply for enrolments made between the 25th of November and the 31st of December 2020.
