TAE40122- Certificate IV In Training And Assessment

Qualification Overview

With this certification, learners are guaranteed to understand how to train for and test language, literacy, and numeracy abilities. Learners will gain knowledge of how to design, create, validate, and carry out assessments. Upon completion, you will have gained knowledge on how to perform competency-based assessments, build learning programmes based on national training packages, offer presentations, educate groups and individuals in the workplace, and address learners’ language, literacy, and numeracy abilities.

Target Audience

Our target market for this course are individuals looking to attain the TAE40122 – Certificate IV in Training and Assessment. These individuals must be able to demonstrate vocational competency in their proposed teaching and assessing area

Due to the pre-requisites to enter this course, individuals must be:

• applicants over the age of 18 years
• have acquired vocational skills and knowledge in their proposed teaching and assessing area
• have a broad industry knowledge and experience

Prerequisites

Those entering this qualification must be able to demonstrate vocational competence in their proposed training and assessing area. Vocational competence is defined as broad industry knowledge and experience, and may include, but is not limited to, holding a relevant unit of competency or qualification.

Also, students must successfully pass a Language, Literacy and Numeracy and digital literacy test prior to their enrolment in this course.

Licensing/Regulatory Information

This qualification meets the minimum education requirement for trainers and assessors operating without supervision under applicable VET legislation, frameworks and/or standards. The qualification is a successor to TAE40116Certificate IV in Training and Assessment.

Study Modes Available

We have a variety of study modes available to suit you.

• Classroom – face to face learning in class. We provide one -on -one guidance to our classroom students. our classes are only conducted during school terms and are once a week from 9.30 am to 3pm
• Online – Self-paced learning (flexible learning)
• Virtual classes – virtual classes are done through Teams for students who are not able to attend face to face classroom training but prefer face to face learning. You have the flexibility to attend virtual class from wherever you are. They are conducted during school terms and are once a week.

Duration

Average completion time is 6 months. The full qualification must be completed within 24 months from date of enrolment and regular submission of assessment tasks is required.

Assessment Methods

Assessments methods will include but not limited to;

• Unit Assessment-1	Unit Knowledge test- comprises of questions and answers, case studies, research to test the knowledge of the student.
  Unit Assessment-2	Performance evidence- to test the practical skill of the students. Conducted in simulated work environments,  projects depending on the unit requirement.
